What Are Dentures?
Removable or implant-supported dentures are a convenient way for Long Island, Commack, and Suffolk County, NY patients to replace lost teeth. These prosthetic pieces should make it easier to speak and bite into food and can renew the look of your mouth after tooth loss. Our team of periodontists is experienced with full and partial detachable and implant-supported dentures for men and women in Smithtown, NY. Full-arch dentures replace each of the teeth in the top arch, bottom arch, or both, whereas partial dentures are employed in the event some of the patient's teeth are still intact in the mouth. At NowDental of Suffolk, we can help you determine whether removable or implant-supported dentures are suitable for your goals and have them carefully made to produce an appealing look and secure fit. Set up your denture consultation at our Smithtown, NY office to find out more.
What Denture Options Are Available?
Adapting to your unique goals is essential to us so we provide multiple personalized denture solutions for tooth replacement:
- Removable partial dentures replace open areas left by a single tooth or multiple missing teeth. They are held in place by inconspicuously fastening to nearby teeth.
- Removable single-arch dentures take the place of an entire upper or lower arch and are held in place by the natural shape of the jawbone or an oral adhesive.
- Implant-supported dentures restore a few or a full arch of teeth. These restorations are put on top of dental posts in the jaw for higher reliability.
- Immediate full dentures are placed right after the natural teeth are taken out. The fit of these pieces might be customized as the gums heal.
- Traditional full dentures are given if teeth are already missing and the oral cavity is completely healed.
Can I Get Dentures?
You may be a candidate for dentures if you have lost many teeth or need to have teeth removed. Dentures serve to restore your dental capabilities, let you consume many foods, and help maintain your facial structure. These restorations work best if your gums are in good condition and you have a good amount of bone to keep them in position. During your consultation, we will assess your oral health and review your denture options, depending on your needs, aesthetic preferences, and budget. From there, a member of our team will be able to help you figure out if dentures are best for your dental health and which style might best fit your unique situation.
What Is the Denture Process?
Our staff will start the process by getting 3D impressions of your upper and lower arches. These impressions will then be sent to our partnering dental lab who will craft your unique dentures. Single-arch and bridge dentures use lightweight resin, which can be supported by a metal framework. Crafted with high-grade substances, dentures should copy the appearance of actual teeth and gum tissues. When your restorations are finished and arrive at NowDental of Suffolk, we will ask you to follow up for a fitting session. We will alter your restorations so they fit snugly or latch them to previously positioned oral implants. Our staff will also go over the proper methods to take care of your new dentures so they will last a long time.
NowDental of Suffolk Reviews
The hygienist would give me breaks when cleaning my teeth to make sure I was ok. He would talk to me to make me feel comfortable since I told him I hate the dentist! He kept saying my teeth were very clean! The dentist answered all my questions that I had plus the questions I had about my 7 year old son that I was worried about! The wait time for the dentist took a few, but it was a holiday and only one dentist there.
Excellent experience. Got there at 9AM and was finished by 9:30AM. Great job, no pain :) Courteous and sweet staff.
Wonderful experience. I had an issue with my insurance, and the girl from the front desk, offered herself to speak with them to help me out. I was in a lot of pain and frustrated for the insurance problem, but they treated me with a lot of compassion and respect. The doctor, the assistant and front desk were excellent and very professional. I will definitely recommend this place.
Probably like most people I hated going to the dentist and postponed going to see one until absolutley necessary. The reason I said "hated" is because this is no longer the case. Thanks to Now Dental's staff and Dr. Hassan. I can now go to the dentist knowing I will find a kind, and understanding staff. Throughout any procedure, Dr. Hassan, will check to see if I'm ok. Knowing this, helped me keep up my dental health to ensure my smile is the best it can be. Thank You Dr. Hassan and the staff at Now Dental.
All ways a professional job,
